Jaipur : Jaipur’s J.K. A case of major negligence has come to light in Lone Hospital. Two days ago, a sick child was given blood transfusion of the wrong group. There is panic in the hospital after this incident. The hospital superintendent has formed an internal committee to investigate the matter. The condition of the child is currently said to be stable. According to sources, a child of about 10 years old age group met J.K. a few days ago. Was admitted to Lone Hospital. He was suffering from kidney disease. When this child admitted in the unit of Dr. Kailash Meena needed blood, he was given a slip to bring blood.
Since the child’s blood group was O positive, he was given AB positive blood transfusion. Two days later, when the patient asked for blood, he was given O positive blood for the second time. When the issue of transfusion of different blood types came to light in the child’s medical file, there was a stir.
Everything is normal during investigation
According to sources, when the child was examined after this incident, everything came back normal. However, till now no reaction has been seen on the child due to transfusion of wrong blood group. Sources say that the reaction may not be coming due to the child already having kidney disease.
