Jaipur 26 year old youth brain dead, mother donates son’s liver and kidney

Jaipur News Desk: The patient admitted in Sawai Mansingh Hospital for the last 6 days was declared brain dead by the doctors on Monday. The young man donated his life to three people. Shubham (26), resident of Ramgarh (Alwar), met with an accident on November 13 during his morning walk. When there was no relief from treatment at the local level in Alwar, he was admitted to the Trauma Center of Sawai Mansingh Hospital on 13 November.

Even after being admitted in the hospital for 6 days, the doctors could not save him. After being brain dead, Shubham’s mother Hemlata agreed to organ donation after doctors’ advice. After this, both of Shubham’s kidneys and one liver were donated. Both of Shubham’s kidneys were transplanted to two patients admitted in the super specialty of SMS. At the same time, the liver was sent to AIIMS located in Jodhpur. According to doctors, after the death of his father about three years ago, Shubham had taken care of the house. He used to work in private sector. The family consists of mother and younger brother, who is studying.

30 year old youth will suffer from kidney stones; Dr. Shivam Priyadarshi, HOD of Urology Department, said that organs for transplant were found in the evening. Transplant work has started. Both the donated kidneys are being implanted in a male patient, who is below 30 years of age. Doctors told that this is the 33rd case of organ donation in SMS Hospital. Heart receiver was not found; Dr. Manish Aggarwal told that to donate to the heart, we had made information available on both Soto and Noto platforms. Not only this, Heart was also offered at NRI level, but no receiver was found. For this reason his heart could not be donated.
