Jaipur A small mistake can put your law degree in danger, know these four new rules

Jaipur : Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi has imposed strictness on the students studying in the institutions affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University in the session 2024-25 in Jaipur state. Due to the new rules, a small mistake by the students can put the degree of LLB, LLM in jeopardy. After the notification issued by BCI, the affiliation of the university was declared by the Controller of Examinations of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University on 29th November. Letters have been written to the receiving institutions to follow the rules. The affiliation of institutions that do not follow the rules and the degrees of students may be in jeopardy. It is noteworthy that there are about 90 institutions affiliated with Law University in the state.

These are the four new rules

1. Criminal Background – Criminal background of law students will be checked. It will have to be stated whether he has ever been involved in any criminal case or not. Along with this, information will have to be given from FIR to proof of crime, custody and arrest.

2. Two degrees simultaneously – Law students cannot pursue more than one regular degree course at a time. If a student is found doing another regular degree along with LLB, LLM, he will not get his final marksheet and degree.

3. Job information – If you join any kind of job or service during law studies, you will have to take NOC from the employer.

4. Attendance – Attendance in the class should be as per rule 12 of BCI Rules of Legal Education. For this, CCTV cameras and biometric attendance system will have to be implemented. CCTV camera data will have to be compulsorily kept safe for one year.
