Jaipur blockade, stop on suspects, search operation curbed, crime graph dropped by 7%

Jaipur News Desk: There is good news for the people living in Jaipur Commissionerate that there has been a decrease of 7 percent in crime here as compared to last year. This happened due to the changed method of blockade, ban on disco bars opening late at night and other suspicious activities and running a simultaneous search operation against the criminals. If we look at the figures, there has been a reduction of 13 percent in cases of scheduled caste crimes and 7 percent in cases of tribal atrocities. There has been a 5 percent reduction in the cases of atrocities against women in the Commissionerate. Last year, 28271 cases of crime were registered from January to November, whereas this year 26422 cases were registered.

Eddy. Police Commissioner Kunwar Rashtradeep said that 460 cases of Scheduled Caste atrocities were registered last year. This year 401 cases have been registered. Last year, 214 cases of Scheduled Tribe atrocities were registered, which came down to 198 this year. Vehicle theft has also been curbed. Last year, 622 four-wheelers and 6192 two-wheelers were stolen. This year, 555 four-wheeler and 5315 two-wheeler theft cases were reported.
