A car belonging to the convoy of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma met with a horrific accident on Wednesday afternoon in the capital of Rajasthan. Three policemen were seriously injured in this incident. The accident occurred when a vehicle coming from the wrong direction hit the car of the security personnel included in the convoy. The injured were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital.
There was panic in the administration after the accident. Police reached the spot and controlled the situation and seized the vehicle responsible for the accident. The driver has been taken into custody and investigation has been started.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma showed promptness. Immediately after the incident, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep concern over the condition of the injured. He ensured that the injured policemen were provided immediate medical facilities. The Chief Minister spoke to the doctors in the hospital and took information about the treatment of the injured. Questions on the security of the convoy: CM Bhajanlal Sharma had recently instructed the traffic police that the general public should not be stopped unnecessarily during the convoy. But this incident has raised questions on the safety of the convoy and the effectiveness of the protocol. CM took the injured to the hospital in his car
An official of the Chief Minister’s Office said, ‘Two people were injured in the accident. The Chief Minister stopped the vehicle and took an injured person to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in his own vehicle. The other injured person was taken to a nearby hospital with very minor injuries. A CMO official said, ‘The CM’s convoy was moving as usual and traffic was not stopped. This incident happened in the middle of traffic. The Chief Minister took cognizance of the matter and instead of waiting for the ambulance to arrive, he took the seriously injured person to the hospital in his own vehicle.
Congress leader Dotasara demanded investigation
After receiving information about the accident of the vehicles included in the CM’s convoy, Congress PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara has expressed condolences to the injured. Dotasara said- The news of policemen and civilians injured in a vehicle accident is very sad. By the grace of God, the Chief Minister is safe in the accident. I wish speedy recovery of the injured, the government should get this matter investigated by higher officials.
