Jaipur: Conservation is happening on paper, historical gates are falling into disrepair

Jaipur : Jaipur: Even though today Sanganer comes under Jaipur, it is earlier than Jaipur. Earlier it was called Sangrampur, later it was named Sanganer. There used to be a wall around Sanganer. There were six gates in this fort. Among these, Dausa Gate was considered the main gate of Sanganer. Other gates were Jaipur Gate, Sambhar Gate, Malpura Gate and Chaksu Gate. Sambhar Gate is currently demolished. Old residents of Sanganer say that at present there used to be Sambhar Gate in the rear part of Chourdiya Petrol Pump. The boundary wall of Sanganer Airport.

But, these ancient gates are in a bad condition today. Due to dilapidated condition and encroachment of people, these historical gates are losing their antiquity. Local resident Purushottam Nagar says that for the conservation of these ancient gates of Sanganer and to keep them free from encroachment, Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Authority Jaipur was informed several times in writing, on which the Director of Archeology and Museum Department informed. That the gate built at Sanganer is not a protected monument declared by the department. These ancient heritage gates should be declared protected monuments. But the department shrugged it off and did not consider it under its control.
