Jaipur : Doctors of Jaipur Indian Medical Association Chowmu on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to SDM Dilip Singh Rathore in the name of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma regarding 7-point demands. He has made many other demands including including other diseases in the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya (MAA) Insurance Scheme and increasing the package in the scheme. Indian Medical Association President Dr. N.K. Aggarwal said that the doctors have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding 7-point demands. There has been a demand to include other diseases also in the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Bima Yojana. Doctors have put forward demands including increasing the package in the Chief Minister’s Scheme, in which Dr. N.K., President of the Indian Medical Association, Chaumu, Aggarwal said that the participation of private hospitals in running these government health schemes is about 70 percent, due to which the benefits of this scheme are reaching the common people. Even after this, private hospitals are not getting the benefits of government schemes. On this occasion, Dr. G.L. Barala, Dr. Radheshyam Manawat, Dr. Ashok Kumawat, Dr. Rakesh Singh Chaudhary and other doctors were present.
Main demands of doctors
1. The package rate of treatment in the health insurance scheme is low, which needs to be increased. Same rate has been kept for government and private hospitals, which is not logical.
2. Treatment of some diseases is reserved only in government hospitals (cataract operation, piles, fistula, coronary angiography, normal delivery, cesarean delivery etc.) which is not logical. This also causes problems to the common people.
3. Due to package capping in the treatment of ICU and accident trauma patients, there are many problems in treating the patient.
4. Instead of visiting three hospitals, the super specialist doctor should be allowed to visit 5 to 6 hospitals.
5. Under the scheme, even after the claim is approved by the insurance company, the claims are rejected, due to which the hospitals are facing financial loss. There should be a solution for that soon.
6. Private hospitals have a huge contribution in running these government health schemes. For this, the government should consider the health industry under MSME and reduce electricity rates and other taxes.
7. Include private service providers in committees in the policy making of schemes. With this, the shortcomings of the scheme will also be removed and the common man can get good and easy treatment.
