Jaipur Department forgot to put a cage, monkey got trapped, died due to hunger and thirst

Jaipur : A picture of how insensitive Jaipur Greater Corporation is towards animals was seen in Shivdaspura. After 13 days of complaint of monkeys, the corporation workers arrived here and installed the cage. A monkey was caught in a cage. After this, people kept informing the corporation for 5 days, but no one came to lift the cage. The result was that the monkey died in agony due to hunger and thirst. The officers kept saying that he had fainted. Even two days ago, when a complaint was made to the corporation about monkeys, the contractor shrugged it off by saying that this area does not belong to the corporation, hence the cage cannot be installed again. In the same city, the corporation gives Rs 1250 to the contractor for catching a monkey. Despite this, there is no sign of reducing the monkeys in the city.

Monkeys are biting every day, people put nets around their houses

The incidents of monkey bites and attacks on common pedestrians are increasing day by day in the city. The corporation administration is proving to be unsuccessful in stopping the monkey menace. As a result, people are forced to confine themselves in their homes. Therefore, people living near Rajapark, Sindhi Colony, Galata Gate, Surajpol, Mansarovar and New Sanganer Road have installed permanent nets around their houses to prevent monkeys from coming inside.

Rule to leave 150 km away from populated areas, but no monitoring

More than 110 complaints are being received every day in the city related to monkeys. Many of these complaints are either not registered or are resolved only on paper, whereas the corporation is paying Rs 1250 to the contractor for catching a monkey. It is clearly written in the contract that the monkey will have to be released 150 km away from the population in a forest where it is a natural environment. But even monitoring is not happening.
