Jaipur Discom will give electricity substation to private companies

Jaipur : Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (Jaipur Discom) has issued tenders to operate 11 KV and 33 KV sub-stations of the state through private firms. Under the tender, e-tenders have been invited for separate power supply (isolation) to domestic and agricultural consumers of 1027 feeders in 14 different areas of Jaipur Discom and installation of solar power plants. Under this project, Hybrid The work will be done on the basis of Annuity Model (HAM). This will include metering, billing and collection (MBC). Apart from this, services for operation and maintenance (O&M) will be provided for a stipulated period. The work includes material supply, installation, testing, commissioning and operation.

Regarding this tender, the Labor Federation (BMS) associated with the Electricity Department has expressed its opposition to privatization. Labor Federation President Dharmendra Singh Sankhla said – Recently, JBS company left the GSS given on contract in Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation Limited midway. Due to this the department had to face a lot of trouble. Also, government employees were hurriedly deployed at these places to get the work done. In such a situation, by handing over the operation of these 11 KV and 33 KV sub-stations to a private firm, we may have to face such problems along with jobs in the future.

Tenders will be submitted from 22nd November to 24th December

Tenders will be available on the portal of Jaipur Discom from 22 November 2024. The last date for submission of tender is 24 December 2024. The Corporation has clarified that tenders submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Documents and detailed information related to the tender are available on Jaipur Discom website www.energy.rajasthan.gov.in/jvvnl and www.eproc.rajasthan.gov.in. Tried to talk to the Chairman of Jaipur Discom regarding the ongoing tender. But the Chairman did not give any reaction on this. A day earlier, in the program of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh in Kota, Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar had given a statement regarding privatization. The Energy Minister had said that by setting up a solar plant near 33 KV GSS, farmers will be able to get electricity during the day. This scheme of Rs 7800 crore will be completed in 60:40 between the Central and State Government.
