Jaipur : Jaipur Rajasthan University has started a unique initiative to teach human values along with happiness to the youth under ‘Anandam Programme’. Under which the youth will not only be made aware of the human values like compassion, help, cooperation, harmony and play an important role in the society but will also be encouraged to do good work. According to the scheme, the students studying in PG -The students will go to the slums outside the campus and educate the people living there about cleanliness and side effects. Students helping the specially abled will also teach the elderly the tricks to remain happy all the time. In the ‘Anandam Programme’, PG students of the constituent colleges will be included in the first phase and UG students of the constituent colleges in the second phase. In which 16 types of activities will be organized.

Anandam aims to make students experience the Joy of Giving. Encourages students to reconnect with nature, recognize and connect with their inner self and become responsible citizens. Emphasizes development of social, moral, mental and academic competencies, thereby making students not only good citizens but also good human beings. In today’s stressful academic environment, students are often faced with high academic pressure, competitive environment and personal issues. Challenges such as these can lead to burnout and feelings of social isolation. Through this course students learn to manage stress, develop interpersonal skills and develop a balanced lifestyle. Due to which they become prepared for future personal and professional challenges.

On Monday, about 500 students studying in Anandam PG were present in the Humanities Chair auditorium of the university. It was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Alpana Kateja. Convener of Anandam Committee, Prof. Neelima Gupta was also present. Here, a cleanliness campaign was also conducted by the Political Science Department of the University under Anandam. There is a need to make the students coming to the University aware of human values. So that they will be able to play a positive role in the society in the future. Starting with the PG students. After this, a plan is proposed to include UG students from the constituent colleges also. Those who do good work will also be rewarded.
