Jaipur : Jaipur A 17-member team of Friends of Rajasthan Tourism (Fort) visited Sambhar Salt Lake. The purpose of this tour was not only to admire the beauty of this historical and natural site, but also to understand its tourism importance and to promote it widely. Sanjay Kaushik, founder and event organizer of Friends of Rajasthan Tourism (Fort) said- Such events provide an opportunity to know and promote new tourist destinations. Sambhar Salt Lake not only holds historical importance, but it is also a paradise for bird lovers. Through this trip it was understood that places like Sambhar can be established more firmly on the tourism map.
The team observed a large number of birds like Greater Flamingo, Black-winged Stilt, Pied Avenocat, Spot-billed Duck, Brahminy Duck, Northern Shoveler, Kingfisher, and Gray Heron in Sambhar. Along with this, there was also an opportunity to understand the historical and modern methods of salt production. Hotelier Ashish Chaturvedi said that this trip proved to be an excellent combination of tourism, nature and cultural importance. The efforts of Friends of Rajasthan Tourism were said to be an important step towards putting a place like Sambhar on the global map.
In this journey Sanjay Kaushik, Suresh Sirwani, Amandeep Singh, Sandeep Singhal and Gunjan Mathur (all tour operators), Anushka Kaushik (Digital Media Expert), Trupti Mishra (Government Approved Guide), Ashish Chaturvedi, Pushpendra Bhargava, Nand Singh and Dr. Jyoti. Chaturvedi (all hoteliers), Manoj Edwin (hotel and hospitality consultants) Sonia Chaturvedi, Purvi Chaturvedi, Mihika Chaturvedi, Dr. Abhishek Gupta and Pragya Gupta participated. Neeraj Kumar of Camp Sambhar said that it is a matter of pride for us to welcome such a team and share the specialties of Sambhar with them. This tour will give a new direction to Sambhar tourism. Event co-ordinators Suresh Sirwani and Amandeep Singh expressed gratitude to all the participants and promised to organize more such events in future under the banner of Fort.
