Jaipur Government will give land to make green hydrogen from brackish and waste water

Jaipur : Jaipur Rajasthan is being seen across the country as an important raw material for the production of green hydrogen, a cheap fuel for future transportation modes like trains and motorcycles. However, shortage of water was emerging as a major challenge in green hydrogen production in the state, which has now been effectively solved by the government. Recently, under the Rajasthan Integrated Clean Energy-2024 Policy approved two days ago, the government has announced to give priority and concessions in land allocation for setting up projects for green hydrogen production from brackish, waste and treated water. In this policy, steps will be taken to promote green energy, biomass and CNG gas production along with green hydrogen.

50% discount on transmission for 500 KTPA plants: An important step has been taken to promote green hydrogen in Rajasthan Clean Energy Policy-2024. For the first plant with 500 kiloton green hydrogen production capacity, 50 per cent rebate in transmission charges will be given for 7 years on green hydrogen transmission from the network of Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam.
