Jaipur: Group readings held in temples on Geeta Jayanti, scriptures distributed among devotees

Jaipur : Jaipur The saint-mahant explaining the importance of the Gita scripture to the devotees in the temple courtyard and religious gathering resonating with different verses of the Gita. The same scene was seen in the temples of the city in Kumar and Ravi Yoga on Wednesday on Geeta Jayanti (Mokshada-Mauni Ekadashi). On this occasion, special tableaux were decorated in the temples and Geeta was also kept in Jagmohan. Along with collective recitation of Geeta, the saints called for connecting children with Vedic culture. Also distributed religious texts. Devotees worshiped Lord Vishnu and observed a fast.

After Mangala tableau in Govind Devji temple, Panchamrit Abhishek of Thakur Shriji took place. Mahant Anjan Goswami worshiped Geeta ji. Mahant said that studying Geeta leads to spiritual development as well as a feeling of spiritual peace. Thakur ji was made to wear red colored attire and ornaments for the cow-herding leela. Devotees performed parikrama in the Ram Naam Parikrama Mahotsav organized at Satsang Bhawan.

The program took place in the presence of Mahant Malay Goswami at Radha Damodar Temple located at Chauda Rasta and Mahant Siddharth Goswami at Gopinath Temple located at Purani Basti. At Ladliji temple, Mahant Sanjay Goswami pampered Thakurji and offered him delicious food. Celebrations on Ekadashi were also held in other Vaishnav temples including Anand Krishna Bihari Temple located at Chandni Chowk and Madan Gopal Ji located at Chaura Rasta. Subhash A special tableau of Radha Saras Bihari Sarkar was seen in the presence of Mahant Albeli Madhuri Sharan at Saras Nikunj located in the Chowk. Panchamrit Abhishek was done and decorated with flowers. Devotees performed Harinam Sankirtan in large numbers.
