Jaipur Heritage Mayor Kusum Yadav took charge, said- will root out corruption

Jaipur : Heritage Municipal Corporation’s acting mayor Kusum Yadav took charge today on 25 September. During the taking charge, apart from BJP MLA Gopal Sharma, Balmukund Acharya, many councilors and BJP workers were also present. Mayor Kusum Yadav said in a special conversation with NDTV that she will work on zero tolerance policy against corruption. Her priority will be to make Jaipur clean and beautiful. Let us tell you that on 23 September, Munesh Gurjar was removed from the post of mayor. After which the exercise to elect the acting mayor started.

This is how Kusum Yadav was elected mayor

BJP took the help of 8 Congress councillors to cross the majority mark in the 100 seats of Heritage Nagar Nigam. Congress councillors Manoj Mudgal, Uttam Sharma, Jyoti Chauhan, Sushila, Arvind Methi, Mohammad Zakaria, Paras Jain and Santosh Kanwar joined BJP. On Tuesday (24 September), independent councillor Kusum Yadav was elected. Kusum Yadav has been a member of BJP. But she contested the last election as an independent candidate. Earlier she was a councillor from BJP. But when the party did not give her a ticket for the second time, she rebelled and became an independent councillor.

High court will decide in Munesh Gurjar’s case!

Earlier, after issuing a notice against Munesh Gurjar, he was given three days to respond. The Department of Autonomous Governance issued a letter on Monday (September 23). UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra approved the suspension of Munesh Gurjar and also stated the reason for suspending Munesh Gurjar. However, Munesh Gurjar has also knocked the door of the High Court, but the hearing is still pending.
