Jaipur Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar’s removal is certain, UDH minister gave indications

Jaipur : Bhajanlal government is now preparing to take major action against Jaipur Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar. The government is going to remove Munesh Gurjar after getting prosecution approval from DLB. Here, a big statement of UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra has come out. In this, while answering the questions of the media, he told when the government is going to remove Munesh Gurjar. He said that ACB will present a challan against the mayor in the court and along with that the mayor will be suspended.

The government is preparing to suspend the mayor

ACB has a corruption case going on against Jaipur Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar and her husband. In this case, ACB sought prosecution approval from DLB. After getting its approval, now the Health Governance Department is preparing to crack down on Munesh Gurjar. In this case, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh said that as soon as ACB presents a challan against the mayor in the court, she will be suspended. After this, the government will temporarily hand over the charge of mayor to one of the current councilors for 60 days.

The government will appoint the next temporary mayor for 60 days

Responding to media questions at his residence, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh said that after the suspension of Mayor Munesh Gurjar, the government will temporarily hand over the charge of the mayor to one of the current councillors for 60 days. In response to a question on this, he said that the government will decide who should be given the charge, the right person will be given the charge for 60 days.

The High Court directed to present the challan within 2 weeks

When ACB sought prosecution sanction, DLB granted it a few days ago. Meanwhile, DLB director appeared in the High Court on Monday, where he informed that DLB had issued prosecution sanction against Munesh Gurjar on 6 September. After this, the High Court has taken the government’s reply on record and scheduled the hearing of the case after two weeks. Apart from this, the High Court has also asked ACB to present the challan within two weeks.

Let us tell you that a corruption case is going on against Mayor Munesh Gurjar and her husband in ACB. ACB raided the house of Mayor Munesh Gurjar on 4 August 2023. In this, ACB arrested Mayor’s husband Sushil Gurjar and two brokers, Narayan Singh and Anil Dubey, while taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. During the search, lease related files and Rs 41 lakh were also recovered from Sushil Gurjar’s house. Mayor Munesh Gurjar was also found to be involved in this case.
