Because of this, arbitrariness has increased in these universities, the effect of which is visible from degrees to faculty recruitment. There has been an increase in cases of fake degrees in these universities in the last three years. The biggest issue is that the Higher Education Department has not yet formally approved the principles set for the operation of private universities, due to which these universities Standards have not been decided. The result of this situation is that the state government has not yet conducted any audit of these universities nor have these universities uploaded their required information on public websites, which is against the standards of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Recently, UGC has also expressed concern about the standards of private universities of Rajasthan.
If the government takes some necessary steps then government control can be completely established over private universities. -Pro. The law for these universities was passed in the State Assembly, but the department has not yet approved the principles of these universities. Also, the requirement of uploading key documents of these universities on the official website has not been fulfilled. The Higher Education Department had issued a common draft principle for private universities, but many universities changed it as per their convenience, which is illegal.
Salary not as per UGC
universities There is a provision to pay a monthly salary of Rs 57,700 to assistant professors as per the Seventh Pay Commission, but most of the private universities of Rajasthan are not following these standards. As a result, teachers are being exploited and the number of teachers in these universities is also less than the prescribed number. Apart from this, the recruitment process of teachers is also not being done properly.
