Jaipur : Preparations are being made to establish a defense corridor in Rajasthan on the lines of Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Industries Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore talked about requesting the Central Government in this direction in the Gyan Shakti Think Tank (GSTT) seminar organized at Jaipur Military Station.
He said that this corridor will strengthen the war preparedness of the Indian Army and will benefit not only Rajasthan but the entire northern region in the field of military manufacturing. Highlighting the possibilities of this scheme in Rajasthan, he said that the state has both youth and land. For skill development of youth, a plan is being made to provide training to 120 ITIs from a big company.
In the session organized by Sapta Shakti Command in collaboration with FICCI, Army Commander Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh said that the defense eco-system of Rajasthan becomes even more important due to its location on the western border. There is immense scope for development of MSME and industrial sector to produce equipment and products as per military requirements.

Jaipur based private manufacturing unit ‘Jeet & Jeet’ has set an example in the field of security, which even foreign companies are not able to compete with. This unit is making affordable bullet proof vehicles for the country and the world. These vehicles are being used for the security of everyone from the Army to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.
For the first time, the CM of Rajasthan is also using a bullet proof vehicle. More than 29 industries and MSMEs participated in the seminar and 23 stalls displayed equipment specifically made for the Army.
