Jaipur : Jaipur Cyber thugs are trying to cheat people by adopting new methods. Now during the wedding season, cases of fraud through e-cards are coming to light. Fraudsters send attractive wedding invitations on WhatsApp. As soon as a person clicks on the link of the e-card out of curiosity, the complete access to his phone goes into the hands of the fraudsters. After this, the fraudsters withdraw money from the bank accounts and the victim does not even get any OTP or information. Not only this, attempts are also made to defraud your contacts. According to cyber experts, they are receiving 6-7 such cases every day, while 300 to 400 complaints are being received daily on the cyber crime portal. Thugs use ‘remote access apps’. The file of such an app comes in APK format. E-card is sent in attractive design. Malware is hidden in its links.

Sanganer According to resident Somil, a wedding e-card came on his WhatsApp from an unknown number. He clicked on the link and later blocked the number. But Rs 10,000 went missing from his account. He did not receive any OTP or message.
