While on one hand the main roads have been dug up and abandoned for road construction and laying of drinking water lines, on the other hand the condition of water supply and sewerage lines in homes is getting worse due to broken lines. Due to broken internet lines at many places, people are facing difficulty in working in the office. Not only are people facing problems due to unplanned development work, but the risk of air pollution and accidents is also increasing.
If the drinking water and sewerage line breaks during road construction, it is repaired by the contractor. However, as per rules, drinking water and sewerage lines are three feet below the road. But people put up these lines illegally, due to which these lines get broken during digging. Director Engineering-I, JDA: In the outer areas of the city, the main roads in Gandhi Path, Sirsi and Prithviraj Nagar North area have been dug up and abandoned, due to which dust keeps flying throughout the day and pollution is increasing. People keep falling every day.

Road construction and water line problems
City Road construction work is going on by Greater Municipal Corporation, Heritage Municipal Corporation and JDA in various areas. At some places, asphalt layer is being applied on the old roads, due to which the road is becoming higher. Drinking water lines are not being taken care of during excavation. These lines were broken at many places, due to which water supply to the houses was stopped and mud accumulated outside. Instead of responding to complaints, road construction contractors are shrugging off their complaints by sending them to officers.
The sewerage line was broken while laying the drinking water line in Prem Sagar Colony located on Jagatpura Goner Road. The contractor said that it was not his responsibility for the line break. Sewerage water kept flowing on the road, then members of Souya Sky Crown Society together got the sewerage line repaired.
