The situation is such that there is a huge difference in the time of train reaching the station from one app to another, due to which the passengers are confused. Many times passengers get worried after reaching the station due to wrong information. This issue was investigated on Thursday, in which a shocking situation came to light. It was also found that due to wrong information many passengers are missing trains from Jaipur Junction every day. However, sometimes the information provided in the apps is correct, due to which people trust them. On this issue, train experts say that the apps which are providing Application Programming Interface (API) by the Railways should be weeded out, because there can be a risk of passengers’ data being leaked due to private apps.
Four different times of arrival of the same train in Jaipur
Live status of Ziarat Express arriving in Jaipur was checked on Thursday afternoon. In the railway app, the National Inquiry System (NTES) gives the arrival time of this train at Jaipur Junction as 1:16 pm, while in private apps like RailYatri and Confirm Ticket apps, this time is given as 1:47 pm, and in the offline railway app, Reported at 1:29 p.m. Information was received at the inquiry window of the station that this train had actually reached Jaipur at 1:34 pm. After this the time updated in the apps. Similar situation was found in many other trains also. Presently various development works are going on at the railway stations. In such a situation, situation of cancellation, partial cancellation or change of route is arising in many trains. In such a situation, people are facing problems due to wrong information about trains. Passengers are advised to download only authorized apps of Railways from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
