Jaipur: Lord’s worship, procession from temple to pandal

Jaipur : Jaipur: The eight-day Kalpadrum Mahamandal Vidhan and World Peace Mahayagya started with the flag hoisting on Monday in the presence of Muni Samatva Sagar and Muni Sheel Sagar Sangh at Mahavir Digbar Jain Temple located in Chitrakoot Colony of Sanganer area. President Kewal Chand Gangwal told that the flag was hoisted by Shanti Devi and Ashok Sogani at the legislative venue as per the rituals.

Temple Committee Minister Anil Jain Kashipura said that after the consecration and puja in the morning, a grand procession was taken out under the leadership of the monk. The yatra passed through Tonk Road, Mian Bajaj Gali, Flower Colony and reached the venue Kanwar Ka Bagh Rajgrihi Nagar and turned into a religious gathering. In the procession, devotees wearing saffron clothes carrying palanquin along with elephant, horse and carriage along with Trayodashi Jinalaya of Lord were doing devotion by singing and dancing while chanting the name of Lord. At various places along the procession route, Jain devotees performed foot washing and Mangal Aarti of the sage.

Before this, Abhishek and Shanti Dhara were performed by placing the Lord in Samovasharana. Legislative activities were carried out with simplification. Advocate Mahavir Surendra Jain told that Vidhan Puja was done in the presence of Vidhancharya Vikarsh Shastri. Program coordinator Omprakash Kataria said that the Vidhan Sabha will begin on Tuesday after Abhishek, Shantidhara and the sage’s sermons. There will be cultural programs after Maha Aarti in the evening.
