Jaipur : Jaipur: The government, which is showing focus on recruitment in the state, has not yet appointed the necessary selection committee members for the recruitment process in any university. Regarding recruitment in all the state universities of Rajasthan, Bhaskar came to know that despite repeated reminders from most of the universities, the government has not given permission for recruitment. In such a situation, recruitment is not being done on 4000 posts in 20 universities. Every year governments appoint their nominees for the selection committees in universities, this time the government has not done so. This is the condition of recruitments when the Governor has expressed seriousness about the recognition of NAAC in universities.
In the recently held NAAC meeting, all the Vice Chancellors of the state have raised the issue that when there are no teachers in the universities then how will they get NAAC accreditation done. RU VC Prof. Alpana Kateja says – Vacant posts have an impact on academic, non-academic and research work. Besides, this also affects NAAC grading. Universities of Alwar, Sikar and Bharatpur in Rajasthan were established in 2012, since then they are dependent on contractual teachers and employees. No recruitment has taken place till date in Banswara University, established in 2017. A big university like MDS Ajmer is running with only 12 teachers.
Recruitment of new posts is a distant thing, the state government is not able to fill even the sanctioned posts.
CM and ministers are giving statements of making thousands of recruitments, but permission has not been given for recruitment to 4000 posts in universities. Nor has he nominated a member in the selection committee. Kota University VC Prof. Kailash Sodani says- The requirement of government permission for filling sanctioned posts and promotions should be abolished.
