Jaipur : Jaipur Education Department started conducting pre-primary classes in PMShri schools from Monday with incomplete preparation. There is no provision of NTT teachers in these schools yet. Admissions also started after half the session passed. For this reason admissions did not take place in these schools. Even where there were, there were very few entries. A maximum of 25 seats were provisioned in each school. But seats were not filled in most of the schools.
Pre-primary classes have been started in 402 PMShree schools run in the first phase in the state. According to 25 seats in a school, the total number of seats in these schools is 10050. But only half the admissions have taken place as compared to the seats. Recently, the Directorate had issued an order approving the operation of 3-year-old pre-primary classes in PMShri schools from December 2. After this, applications were taken from 21st November to 27th November. But the parents showed no interest in admission. Most schools received far fewer applications than there were seats. There were two main reasons behind this. One, half the session has passed. The second major reason is that these schools currently do not have teachers to teach pre-primary classes. The department has asked to appoint teachers on contract, but when will they be appointed? When will the process of their installation start? What will be the criteria? The department did not release anything on this.
It is believed that it is difficult to find a teacher in this session. Classes will be conducted in this manner. Pre-primary classes will be held 5 days a week. The duration of these classes will be 4 hours daily. These classes will be conducted from 10 am to 2 pm in the winter time table from October 1 to March 31 and from 8 am to 12 noon in the summer time table from April 1 to September 30. There has also been opposition to the appointment of NTT teachers on contract in PMShree schools. Rajesh Tiwari, Vice President of NTT Teachers Association, says that regular recruitment should be done for PM Shri Schools. If recruitment is done on contract, it will be opposed. Recently, some new teachers have been selected in NTT Recruitment-2018. Districts have been filled with these. These selected teachers should also be given posting here, so that they can also get relief. Only 15 admissions were made on 25 seats in PMShree School Phagi. Similarly, in PMShree School Chaumun, only 10 admissions were made on 25 seats. The situation was similar in other schools of Jaipur district also.
