Jaipur Railway Union recognition election from December 4, nomination list released

Jaipur : Jaipur After the release of the list of valid nominations in the election for recognition of trade union in Railways to be held on 4th, 5th, 6th December on the basis of notification issued by the Secret Ball Election Committee (SBEC) constituted by the Ministry of Railways. A new turn has come. According to the information of valid nominations issued by Pradeep Kumar Singh, Returning Officer and PCPO of North Western Railway, now only 5 organizations are North Western Railway Employees Union, Swatantra Railway Bahujan Employees Union, North Western Railway Employees Union, North Western Railway Mazdoor Union and All India Railways. Only track maintainer union will be able to contest elections

A total of 6 organizations had filed nominations till the last date of nomination on 25th October. In this, both the nominations were not found valid due to All India Railway Track Maintainer Union not fulfilling the eligibility to contest the elections and Indian Railway Employees Union having incomplete nomination documents. But now after the instructions of Bombay High Court, Track Maintainer Union will also contest elections in all zonal railways including North Western Railway. In such a situation, this decision of the court has brought a new twist in the elections.

Girish Chaturvedi said that recently, due to the opposition of all the labor organizations including AIRF, NWREU, the Central Government had amended the New Pension Scheme (NPS) and renamed it Unified Pension Scheme (UPS). In such a situation, the Prime Minister met the heads of other major employee organizations including AIRF. During this time, all the organizations praised it, calling it good. But now, seeing the response of young railway workers, organizations associated with NFIR and BMS have started protesting against UPS and demanding reinstatement of OPS. At the same time, NWREU, an organization associated with AIRF, has claimed to improve UPS.

It is difficult for two organizations to get 35 percent voting

By participating in the elections of Track Maintainers Union (AIRTU), it has become difficult for both the recognized unions to get 35-35 percent of the total votes. On one hand, the union is engaged in publicity in the entire zone under the leadership of General Secretary Mukesh Mathur. At the same time, UPRMS President Vinod Mehta, Employees Union President BL Gangwal and Organization Minister CTI Sameer Sharma are also meeting the employees. It is noteworthy that there are a total of 46700 voters in the elections in all four divisions and factories including Jaipur. These include 13 thousand technical staff, 10 thousand track maintainers, 8 thousand traffic staff, 6 thousand running staff, and around 4 thousand accounts and ministerial staff.
