Jaipur : JDA is tearing up city roads at will for the Jaipur Rising Rajasthan Summit. First, the road work was started on Sanganer culvert without diversion and now on Saras Dairy culvert on Gopalpura bypass, the contractor has torn up the road to lay new asphalt, but the work has not started till now. Drivers are facing problems due to the uprooted road on both sides. At the same time, two-wheeler drivers are becoming unbalanced and falling. It is being told that the contractor has dug the road for asphalting, but due to non-availability of asphalt the work is not able to start.
Road torn up without warning board
The road was excavated on the culvert for asphalting, but the contractor has not even installed warning boards. In such a situation, vehicles are coming at high speed from both the sides. At the same time, the contractor parked a heavy machinery without any road signal for two days. Workers have been working without protection to remove soil from the road at night.
Now claims to complete the work in 5 days
JDA engineers claim that the work could not start due to lack of asphalt. The work will start in 4-5 days and the road will be made smooth. It is noteworthy that in Rising Rajasthan, JDA had given tender for asphalting on Sanganer, Gopalpura Bypass and Saras Dairy Pulia.
