Jaipur : Jaipur: Damaged speed breakers installed on the main roads of the capital are becoming a cause of trouble for the people. Their quality is also bad, that is why the speed breakers installed two years ago are broken and the iron screws are damaging the tires of the vehicles. Surprisingly, JDA officials have not paid attention to these till now. The condition of speed breakers is the same from the roads of colonies to the main roads. The shocking fact is that the breakers installed by JDA and Municipal Corporation are not even according to the Indian Road Congress. JDA’s engineering branch had issued a guideline regarding installation of breakers in March, but it is also not being followed.

● Breakers have been installed at two places at the entry of the underpass on Sahakar Marg. The plastic part of the breaker was broken and screws came out at many places on the road.
● As soon as Acharya goes to Tulsi Setu from Bharat Jodo Setu, the breakers installed at the corner have disappeared. Screws are out at many places.
● The breaker at the turn from JLN road towards Jhalana was also damaged.
Orders issued, not being followed
In March, JDA issued an order stating that speed breakers should not be installed on such roads in the city where the speed limit is more than 60 kilometers per hour. Speed breaker installation should be checked and new breakers should be installed in accordance with the regulations. It is written in this order that plastic and fiber speed breakers are completely banned.
