Jaipur: Taxi collides with vehicles of CM convoy, ASI dies in accident

Jaipur : A case of major lapse in security of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has come to light in Jaipur. On Wednesday, two vehicles of the CM convoy were hit hard by a taxi. An ASI died in the accident. At the same time, 6 people including 4 policemen were injured. The accident happened at around 3 pm at Akshaypatra Circle in Jagatpura of the city. Exactly an hour later, a truck filled with cylinders rammed into the Vice President’s convoy at the same circle. Vice President had come to the inauguration program of Sohan Singh Smriti Skill Development Center by Laghu Udyog Bharti. At the same time, CM was going to this program.

First the ASI was blown up, then the taxi rammed into the convoy.

According to eyewitness Jaikishan, traffic was stopped at Akshaypatra intersection. A car with taxi number came from the wrong side, at the same time the CM’s convoy was passing from there. When ASI Surendra Singh posted there tried to stop the taxi, the driver hit him. After this the taxi collided with the vehicles of the CM’s convoy. Surendra Singh lived in Vaishali Nagar in Jaipur. His wife is a teacher at Sanskar School in Vaishali Nagar. The son is doing internship after doing MBBS, while the daughter is preparing for UPSC. Surendra Singh’s father was a Captain in the Indian Army. The body of Surendra Singh has been handed over to the family. He was a resident of Kath Ka Majra village of Neemrana, where the last rites will be performed on Thursday.

4 policemen admitted to hospital

Five policemen Balwan Singh, Devendra Singh, ACP Amir Hasan, Rajendra and Surendra Singh were injured in the accident. He was admitted to Jeevan Rekha Hospital, where Surendra Singh died during treatment. ACP Amir Hasan suffered a fracture in his finger. Pawan, the driver of the colliding vehicle and his companion were also injured. Both are undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. The car owner told that Pawan was on leave today, don’t know how he reached there with the car.

There was also a lapse in the security of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday. He also came to the inauguration ceremony of Sohan Singh Smriti Skill Development Centre. After participating in the program, he was returning to the airport from Akshay Patra intersection at 4.11 pm. The convoy was coming from Sitapura and a truck filled with cylinders was also coming from Sitapura, which kept moving among the convoy. The convoy passed the truck and left for the airport. Seeing the truck moving near the divider on the side of the convoy, some distance before the intersection, the policemen turned it towards Ramnagariya. Just an hour before this incident, the pilot car of the Chief Minister’s convoy was hit by a taxi car.
