Jaipur : Jaipur: Open gyms built in parks located in Sanganer, Mansarovar, Jagatpura have become junk due to lack of maintenance. Most of the machines in the gym are broken or rusted. Children swing on these broken machines, due to which there is a fear of an accident. Local people visiting the park say that anti-social elements gather here in the evening. These people take advantage of the darkness and break iron from the machines. There is no employee to maintain the park. At the same time, the rod on the children’s slide in the park has been uprooted from one side, which is proving dangerous for the children. Complaints have been made several times regarding this matter to the concerned officials and public representatives, but no positive response has been received from there.

There is adequate lighting in the park but due to the electrical wires and switch boxes lying open, they are inviting accidents. Local people say that when their children come to play in the park, they fear that they might get electrocuted.

Mamta Sharma, who came to the park to visit her children in the evening, said that the equipment kept in the park for many months is in a bad condition. But, no officer of the corporation is paying attention to this. The open gyms set up for the convenience of the people have fallen into disrepair. There is a feeling of fear in taking children to the open gym because the equipment is broken. Even after informing the administration several times, no attention is paid to this. The concerned authorities were informed in writing earlier about the broken equipment of the open gym in the park, new machines will soon be installed here.
