Jaipur : Jaipur: Now candidates will also be verified through biometric in the recruitment examinations of Rajasthan Public Service Commission. For this, the Commission has been given exemption from the Personnel Department. After verification from Aadhaar, double applications and dummy candidates will be stopped. According to the notification issued by the Personnel Department on Thursday, the Commission will be able to use the ‘Aadhaar’ verification system for double applications made by the candidates, verification, prevention of forgery and dummy candidates. In September 2024, the Commission had also received permission from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Government of India to do bio-metric verification of the candidates through Aadhaar card.

The Commission Secretary said that through this, the Commission will be able to verify the identity of the candidate at various stages of the recruitment process, such as online application scrutiny, interview, counselling, document verification, written examination and appointment. In view of the cases of dummy candidates that have come to light in the recent past, Aadhaar Biometric Verification will prove to be a milestone in the credibility and working system of the Commission. The Department of Personnel had sent a letter to the Center on 8 May 2024.
