Jaisalmer accused arrested for buying stolen wire

Jaisalmer News Desk: One km long wire of 220 KV GTPP power line of Jaisalmer was stolen. The criminal Lalaram, who bought that wire, has been arrested by the Sadar police station in Chauhtan town of Barmer.
Sadar police station in-charge Bagduram said- There was a reward of Rs 1500 on Lalaram (30). Lalaram had bought about 1 km of stolen wire. Sadar police station has arrested Lalaram and is interrogating him in the theft case. SHO Bagduram said – On January 6, 2024, Rupesh Kumar Singh lodged a complaint in Sadar police station. He said that while patrolling the 220 KV Amar Sagar to Ramgarh GTPP line, it was found that one kilometer of wire had been stolen from that line. Sadar police station registered a case on the complaint of Rupesh Kumar and started investigation.

Considering the seriousness of the incident of wire theft from power lines, a police team was formed under the leadership of Sadar police station in-charge Bagdu Ram. With the help of technical help and other resources, in the case of theft of 1 km wire, the police team bought the wire from the power line with a reward of Rs. 1500, Lalaram, son of Aidanram, caste Jat, resident of Mukne Ka Tala, Lilsar Police Station Chauhtan (Barmer ) was interrogated and arrested. Now further investigation is going on in this matter.
