It is noteworthy that after continuous news was published on this important issue, ASI came into action and took care of this area. The departmental team reached the spot on Wednesday and took stock of the situation. The team included ASI Jaisalmer in-charge Mahendra Pratap Singh, local officers Govind Singh Rawlot and Devesh Singhal. To ensure security, the department has decided to get puta barricading done and spread it to a smaller area than at present, until permanent arrangements are made. In such a situation, in the next few days, there will be more limited movement of vehicles on this part of Shiv Marg as before. It is noteworthy that the stones of the wall adjacent to the tower Sanya-15 of Sonar Fort had collapsed after heavy rains on August 6 during the last monsoon period. In such a situation, an atmosphere of panic was created in the area. Then barricades were installed on this route and ASI failed to get the work done on time. The result was that on 26th November last, once again four big sized stones were scattered from the damaged wall and fell on the road below. The fortunate thing is that both times there was no loss of life.
