Jaisalmer Food Safety Department took 4 samples of spices

Jaisalmer : As part of the war campaign against food adulteration, the team led by Food Safety Officer Kishnaram Kadwasara raided several shops in the city. Grocery shops in the city were raided and samples of spices were taken on suspicion of adulteration. Food Safety Officer Kishnaram Kadwasara said – A total of 4 samples of coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder being sold at various grocery stores were taken. All the samples were seized and sent to Jodhpur lab for testing. Action will be taken on the basis of the report received from the lab.

FSO Kishnaram Kadwasra said – As per the instructions of Commissioner Food Safety and Drug Control, Rajasthan, the war campaign against food adulteration is going on continuously in all the districts of Rajasthan. Keeping in view the tourism season and wedding season in Jaisalmer district, action was taken on Thursday under the direction of CMHO Dr. BL Bunkar. Food Safety Officer Kishnaram Kadwasra took 4 samples of food items like chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder etc. from grocery shops in Jaisalmer city on the basis of suspicion of adulteration. All food samples will be sent to the Public Health Laboratory, Jodhpur and action will be taken as per the report received from there.
