Jaisalmer food safety team seized 135 liters of ghee in Pokaran

Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer Food Safety Officer in Pokaran took samples of 7 food items and seized 135 liters of ghee under the ‘War on Pure Food Adulteration’ campaign being run against adulteration. Food Safety Officer said that the purity of food items is being ensured under this campaign in all the districts of Rajasthan. Samples of food items including ghee, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pickles were collected from various grocery shops in Pokhran city. Were taken. A total of 135 liters of ghee of two brands present at the spot was seized. All samples will be sent to Public Health Laboratory, Jodhpur. Further legal action will be taken on the basis of the report received from there.

Tobacco Free Youth Campaign: Challan issued, warning given

Under the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0, challans were issued to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) 2003. Food vendors were instructed not to display tobacco products outside and display necessary warning signs.

Appeal for license

Food Safety Officer Praveen Choudhary appealed to all medicine sellers, food sellers, fruit-vegetable sellers and restaurant owners to get food licenses immediately. If license is not found during surprise inspection, legal action will be taken under Section 63 of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
