Jaisalmer News Desk: In connection with the beautification of Jaisalmer, the days of the circles built at the intersections are about to end. The Municipal Council will beautify and reconstruct three intersections of the city. A provision of Rs 50-50 lakh has been made for the work of each intersection. Municipal Council Commissioner Lajpal Singh Sodha said – For this, work order has been issued to the concerned contractor. These works will be started after that in view of the VIP visit to be held in the 55th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council (GST) proposed in Jaisalmer in the second fortnight of December.
Commissioner Lajpal Singh said – The beautification work of Gadisar Circle along with Swarnnagari Square and the most prominent Hanuman Square will be done by the Municipal Council first. The beautification of the circle in front of the Panchayat Samiti office and the Vijay Stambh Circle located on the same road is to be done by the City Development Trust. The Trust will take separate action for this. As part of the beautification of the intersection, the Municipal Council had also issued tenders for the new construction of the Air Force intersection and the Kishan Singh Bhati bus stand intersection beyond it, but due to some reasons this process could not be completed. But these three intersections will be beautified by spending an amount of Rs 50 lakh each.
Crossroads will be decorated with yellow stones
For every VIP and tourist coming to Jaisalmer, this is the most important route to enter the city and go anywhere through the railway station and Barmer road. On this route, there is Gadisar Sarovar, Municipal Council Office, Air Force Square and if you continue further, you will come to Hanuman Square. Almost all the tourists pass through this route. In such a situation, the need for beautification of the intersections built on it has been felt for a long time. The problem of stone railing getting damaged is also coming to the fore every day. Similarly, due to being many years old, at some places the circle platforms have come at the same level as the road, while at other places there is very little difference between the two. Now work will be done to make them better and beautiful with yellow stones.
