Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold wave lasting for three days.

Children going to school in the morning had to face problems due to cold winds. People going to work in the morning were also seen trying to avoid the cold. The weather has also become beneficial for Rabi crops. The effect of winter is stronger in canal areas than in urban areas. The day temperature was recorded at 23.8 degrees and the night temperature was recorded at 8.2 degrees. Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav said that on December 7-8, a western disturbance became active in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal in North India. Due to the effect of this system, there has been snowfall along with rain at many places in these states. This system has now advanced a little. Due to which icy wind has started blowing from North India.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold wave in the district from 11 to 13 December. Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav said that the cold wave will last till December 13. Due to which the day and night temperatures are likely to drop by 3 to 4 degrees. Due to which the effect of winter will become more intense. There is a possibility of relief from cold wave from December 14. The sudden increase in cold has changed the daily routine of people. At the same time, life has also been affected.
