Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer State Government has issued orders to the Patwaris to stay at their offices to provide relief to the farmers, but in Pokhran assembly constituency, buildings are damaged at some places and there is lack of buildings at some places. In such a situation, even farmers are not getting relief. According to the information, after the formation of the new government in the state last year, an order was issued, under which the Patwaris and Village Development Officers working across the state were directed to stay at their offices. There are a total of 38 Patwar areas in the two sub-division areas of Pokaran assembly constituency, 29 in Pokaran and 9 in Bhaniyana. More than half of these buildings are dilapidated. It is becoming difficult for the Patwaris to stay in these buildings, let alone work.
compulsion to take a rented building
The Patwaris of the area have been restricted by the government to live in their offices, whereas due to lack of buildings, the Patwaris have to live in rented buildings. In such a situation they are facing problems. Along with this, farmers also have to face problems. Similarly, in rural areas, in case of non-availability of rented buildings in remote areas, Patwaris have to come to nearby Gram Panchayat or big village or city and reside. In such a situation, farmers are facing difficulty in traveling elsewhere.
lack of a dozen buildings
In the last few years, six new Patwar circles have been formed in Pokaran and Bhaniyana areas. These buildings have not been constructed yet. In such a situation, these Patwaris have to live in rented buildings, due to which they are facing problems. Along with this, farmers also have to wander here and there.
