Jaisalmer : Police has arrested two wanted accused of kidnapping, beating and robbing a young man at Union intersection in Jaisalmer. Both the criminals arrested are Rajendra Singh, resident of Deep Singh Ki Dhani, Sihdar village and Swaroop Singh, resident of Jaisalmer. Pochhina village was presented in the court and taken on PC remand. City Kotwal Sawai Singh said that both the accused are included in the top-10 wanted of the district. Both are being interrogated along with other accused.
SHO Sawai Singh said – On May 2024, in the city police station, Bhupendra son of Shivlahari Meena, resident of Alwar, gave a complaint and said that on May 25, at 11.30 pm, he took a lift from a bike rider to go to Union Square from the old Sadar police station. On which an unknown person riding a bike made me sit on the bike. When I asked him to stop at Union intersection, he drove the bike fast and took it ahead. Where three-four more people were sitting. He had a stick and belt in his hand. Who covered my mouth and beat me, due to which I bled on the upper eyelid of my right eye and got injured at three places on my head. The miscreants took away my mobile phone and Rs 1,000. Police registered the case and started investigation.
Caught after 6 months
Considering the seriousness of the matter, as per the orders of SP Sudhir Chaudhary, a team was formed under the leadership of City Kotwal Sawai Singh. The team raided various places, gathered information from informers and with technical help arrested the main accused selected in the top 10 wanted in robbery cases who were absconding for a long time. Both the accused Rajendra Singh and Swaroop Singh were produced in the court and taken into PC remand. City Kotwal Sawai Singh, ASI Deendayal, Constable Hinglaj Dan, Vikram Singh and Jugta Ram were involved in arresting both the accused.
