Jaisalmer Road accidents will be controlled, animals will be tied with radium belts

Jaisalmer : Karni Kripa Cow Rakshak team has taken a unique initiative to prevent accidents on the roads and save dying animals on Jaisalmer Pokaran Marg. A campaign to tie radium belts around the necks of cattle will be started in areas like Dholiya, Khetolai, Bhadaria, Chandhan and Lathi. Team coordinator Hakamdan Jhiba said that under this three-day campaign, more than 2,000 cows will be fitted with radium belts. This belt glows at night, so that the drivers can easily see the animals standing or walking on the road in the dark and the chances of accidents are reduced. This step has been taken especially in those areas where incidents of road accidents were continuously increasing.

According to Jheeba, most of the accidents have occurred near Dholiya, where many vehicles crashed due to animals suddenly coming on the road. In such a situation, it became necessary to start this campaign for road safety before the start of the tourist season. The radium belt has been arranged with the help of Bhamashahs and team members. Deravarsingh Bhati, Sushil Soni and Kuldeep Singh are supporting the campaign as Bhamashah. The team believes that this effort will not only be helpful in the conservation of cows, but will also prove to be effective in providing safe travel for the passengers. Mahendra Pansari, associated with Go Rakshak Dal, says that this initiative has set a new example in increasing awareness towards road safety and animal welfare. This exercise is also being appreciated by the drivers traveling on Jaisalmer and Pokaran route.
