Jaisalmer smuggler arrested with 1.3 kg poppy seeds, case registered

Jaisalmer : Jaisalmer Police, while taking action against illegal drugs, has arrested a smuggler with 1 kg 388 grams of poppy seeds. Smuggler Dharmaram Vishnoi was arrested in Geeta Ashram Kachchi Basti of the city. City Kotwal Sawai Singh said – Based on the information of the informer, Dharmaram Vishnoi, living in Geeta Ashram Kachchi Basti, was arrested with 1 kg 388 grams of doda-poppy. Smuggler Dharmaram Vishnoi has been arrested under NDPS Act and interrogation is going on. SHO Sawai Singh said that the Har Kotwali police team has taken this action under the leadership of Sub Inspector Altaf Hussain.

Police and DST team took action

On the information of the informer, illegal narcotic drug 1 kg 388 grams of Doda Poppy powder was recovered from the possession of Dharmaram (31), son of Khinyaram Vishnoi, resident of Dholiya (Jaisalmer), who is currently living in Geeta Ashram Kachchi Basti. The smuggler was caught with the goods and a case has been registered under the NDPS Act and investigation is ongoing. SHO Sawai Singh said that along with Sub Inspector Altaf Hussain, constables Hinglaj Daan, Sarupa Ram, Jugta Ram, Manisha were involved in catching Dharma Ram. DST team included in-charge Bhimrao Singh, constable Subhash Chandra, Kaluram, Prem Singh, Kailash, Hazar Singh, Maina and Ramesh Kumar.
