Jaipur : Bhadrapada Shukla Ekadashi is being celebrated as Jaljhulni Ekadashi festival on Saturday. Events are being organized in major temples including Jaipur’s revered Govind Devji temple. A large number of devotees are gathering in Krishna temples under Ekadashi. Lord Lakshmi Jagdish, the revered deity of the religious town of Goner near Jaipur, will take a dip in the Jagannath Sarovar with various tableaux today. According to the astrologer, Ekadashi Tithi will start from Friday night at 10.31 and will last till Saturday night at 8.42. On this day, people of the Vaishnav sect observe Ekadashi fast. This day is also known as Jaljhulni, Parivartani, Padma Ekadashi, Dol Gyaras and Vaman Jayanti Ekadashi. On this day, Lord Vishnu changes sides. After two months, on Devuthani Ekadashi (November 12), Lord Vishnu’s sleeping time i.e. Chaturmas will end.
After Panchamrit Abhishek, he was made to wear new Natwar costume
Jaljhulani Pujan was performed after Mangala Jhanki in Govinddevji temple. During this time, the doors of Thakur Shreeji’s Darshan were closed. Lord was anointed with Panchamrit with Vedic mantras. Thakur Shreeji was dressed in new Natwar costume and was adorned with special ornaments. On the occasion of Ekadashi, 1100 kg of fruits including apples, pears, papaya, pomegranate, pineapple and grapes were offered to the Lord.
In the presence of Mahant Anjan Kumar Goswami, Thakur Shri Shaligramji Bhagwan (Narayan Ji) will be seated on a special small silver cot and taken to the Tulsi platform in the south-western square of the temple. Here, Panchamrit Abhishek will be done with Vedic mantra chanting and sandalwood decoration will be done. After this, Aarti will be performed and Bhog will be offered.
Thakur Shri Shaligram Ji will be seated on the cot again after doing four parikramas of the Tulsi stage with the sound waves of Harinam Sankirtan. After doing one parikrama of the temple, he will be taken into his own temple and Shaligram Ji will be seated near Thakur Shriji. After that there will be Sandhya Jhaanki Aarti Darshan.

God will tour the city on a wooden palanquin weighing 50 kg
Many events will be organized at the Lord Laxmijagadish Temple in Goner. Here, along with a procession, Lord Jagannath will go on a city tour for boating in the lake. On behalf of the temple management committee, tableaux of various forms of the Lord will come out with pomp and show from 4 pm. Laxmi Jagdish, who appeared 470 years ago, is recognized all over the country. A large number of padyatras will reach here. During the visit to the lake, aarti will be performed in the evening on the embankment of the lake. More than 25 tableaux will be special. Tableaux of Ganesh Ji, incarnations of Lord Vishnu, marriage of Bholenath and others will be special. The Lord will be brought on a wooden palanquin weighing 50 kg.
