Jalore 5 notices on poor quality and slow work in construction of town hall worth Rs. 17 crores

Jalore News Desk: The agency did its own thing in the town hall under construction on Bhinmal Road, Jalore. Regarding which 5 notices were issued by the Municipal Council. The District Collector also inspected the work and expressed his displeasure over the slow progress along with the lack of quality work. Along with issuing a notice on delay in work, the agency was also warned of penalty. Despite all this, this work has not been completed. Nor is the agency responding to the notice. As per the rules, there is a provision to blacklist the agency along with imposing penalty on it despite negligence in this case, but no such action has been taken. Let us tell you that the work order for this important work of Rs 17 crore was issued on 25 July 2022 and after that this work was to be completed on 29 January 2024.

Deadline met, still mercy

In the notice issued by the Municipal Council Commissioner on 27 May 2024, it has been written to the agency that the period for completing the work was 29 January 2024 and it has been extended till 28 October 2024. It is written in the letter that the Secretary in-charge and the District Collector inspected the spot on 23 May 2024. On which extreme displeasure was expressed regarding the work. It is written in the notice that carelessness is being taken in the work and the notice is also not being replied to. A warning of penalty was given if the work was not completed within the stipulated time.

so much work still remains

The work of the building structure is going on at the final stage, but the finish work of the building is yet to be completed. In which all the interior work including plaster, color, windows is left. Even if the work is done quickly, it will take at least 3 to 4 months to complete.
