Jalore district bandh successful demanding rights on water of Jawai Dam

Jalore : Jalore Bandh declared on the call of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh on Wednesday as part of the ongoing agitation demanding determination of rights on the water of Jalore Jawai Dam and release of water in the river flow area, was successful. Under the Mahapadav, Jalore Bandh got the support of all the organizations. Its big impact was seen throughout the district. Farmers started reaching Jalore in tractors from morning. By 10 in the morning a procession was visible on the roads. Due to the accumulation of tractors on all the major roads of the city, the roads were blocked and people had to travel through alternative routes. Here, tires were burnt demanding water from Jawai Dam. During the Mahapadav, the speakers cursed the BJP government. The speakers referred to the speech given by Amit Shah in Sayla. Said that Home Minister Shah had said that if Jogeshwar Garg is elected, we will revive the Jawai river, but instead of recharging Jawai or determining the rights, efforts are being made to take the water of Jawai dam to Jodhpur and other projects. . Farmers said that every time promises are made, but the public is cheated, but this time the agitation will continue until decisive results are obtained.

These routes remained blocked: Farmers blocked Ahor Road including Hospital Square, One Way Road, Hospital Square to Collectorate, Collectorate to Ahor Square. People faced problems in transportation. Farmers arriving in more than 1 thousand tractors camped on the roads throughout the day and cursed the present and previous governments for the drying up of agricultural fields due to the drought of the Jawai River.

Tires were blown here: Hospital Farmers blocked the road at the intersection at around 10 am. Farmers parked tractors all around. During this time, the agitators expressed their anger by burning tires at Hospital Square, Haridev Joshi Circle.
