Jalore government school wall collapses, 3 dead, 1 serious

Jalore : 3 people died after wall of government school collapsed in Jalore district. 1 seriously injured person has been taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. The accident took place in Poshana village in Sayla police station area. Police Station Officer Mahendra Singh said – Building construction work was going on in the Government Higher Secondary School of Poshana village. Here on Thursday morning, a 4 feet foundation (pit) was dug near the old boundary wall with a JCB. 7 laborers were working to level the soil.

At around 9 am in the morning, 4 laborers were working on leveling the soil by going down to the foundation, while 3 laborers were removing soil from outside. Meanwhile, soil collapsed from under the 10 feet high old wall of the school and the wall collapsed. All four workers who descended into the foundation were buried under the debris. The people present on the spot started the work of removing the debris to take out the workers.

3 died on the spot, 1 seriously injured

Police station officer said – On information, police reached the spot and with the help of villagers took everyone out. Mohanlal (23) son of Ratnaram resident of Lal Dungri, Saravana (Jalore), Virmaram (40) son of Chenaram resident of Kagau (Barmer) and Bhairaram (40) son of Bhuraram Rao resident of Dhanau (Barmer) died on the spot due to being buried under the debris. While Jagdish son of Bhuraram resident of Barmer was admitted in a critical condition to the private hospital of Sayla, where he is undergoing treatment. Mahendra Singh said – the bodies of the three laborers have been kept in the mortuary of the government hospital of Sayla. After the arrival of the relatives, the body will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem. Sayla Tehsildar Lakshmi Choudhary and the police team have inspected the incident site.
