Jalore: Half-hearted action is being taken in the name of stopping illegal mining.

Jalore : Jalore Mineral Department, Police are continuing to take action in cases of illegal mining, but there is a big flaw in it. To which the responsible people are accepting in hushed tones. The special thing in the matter is that in the last two weeks, 5 dumpers were caught from different places by the police and the department in the case of illegal mining of gravel and their penalty was collected. Another important aspect is that the teams did not reach the mining area from where illegal mining of gravel was taking place. Since in almost all the cases only dumpers were caught, their loading was also done by loaders. As per rules, action should have also been taken to seize the loader from the spot. The illegal mining area should have been measured on the spot. But in almost all the cases, the departmental team did not reach the spot after taking action in this regard due to lack of information about the mining area. Due to which this was not possible. Let us tell you that in cases of illegal mining, along with confiscation of the concerned vehicle, there is a provision for measurement of the mining area and action against the vehicle which gets the loading done on the spot.

The situation is like this right now

Jalore There is no gravel lease area. On the other hand, demand for gravel continues. The result is that illegal mining of gravel continues. There is a shortage of gravel even for important and vital projects of cemented road construction, where gravel is being transported illegally. The police is continuously taking action in the matter of illegal mining. Along with the seizure, efforts will be made to ensure that the police team reaches the mining area on time so that illegal mining can be curbed.
