Jalore : As per the instructions of the National Legal Services Authority, a two-day training of the members of the Legal Services Unit formed in the district under the Child Friendly Legal Services Scheme was started at the District Legal Services Authority on Thursday at the District Headquarters. During this, while addressing as the chief guest, District Legal Services Authority Chairman and District Judge Haroon said that children are the future of any country, he said that many times children are deprived of their rights due to lack of awareness or lack of information. This training will prove beneficial for those who are deprived of their rights to make them aware of their rights. Referring to Article 39 of the Indian Constitution, he said that it is the duty of the State to provide protection to children and adolescents from exploitation, moral and physical abandonment. He said that after receiving training here, the panel advocates and Adhikar Mitra will go to various places and make the children aware about their rights in a friendly environment, so that the children can become aware. During the program, District Legal Services Authority Secretary, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ahsan Ahmed informed about the objectives of the training and gave information about the work to be done by the unit formed under the scheme. He also explained the outline of the two-day training in detail.
Additional Superintendent of Police Kailash Vishnoi explained in detail about the SICAU unit and the Child Welfare Officer created in every police station and the working methodology of the police regarding child molesters. During this, former judge Sohanram Meghvanshi said that this training will prove to be very beneficial for the children. Panel advocate Sardarkhan Khokhar also explained about the plans in detail. Child Welfare Committee member Sarita Chaudhary explained in detail about the functioning of the Child Welfare Committee. Lakhmaram of the Communication Home explained in detail about Kishore and the functioning of the Communication Home. Amna Tabassum of LADCS spoke about crimes related to children and the topic of missing children rescue. Khushwantsingh explained about the legal and policy framework regarding child offenders and victims.
