Jalore News Desk: A massive protest of farmers is going on under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh at Jalore district headquarters demanding to decide the rights of Jalore on the water of Jawai Dam. On the 22nd day of the Mahapadav, a yagya was performed by the farmers at the protest site to give wisdom to the BJP government and officials. District President of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Ratansingh Singh Kaniwada said – The protest of farmers has been going on for 22 days in front of Jalore District Collector demanding fixing of one-third share of Jalore on the water of Jawai Dam. But there is resentment among the farmers due to no positive initiative taken by the government till now and no discussion by any public representative on the demand for water.
Public representatives accused of not cooperating
Farmer leaders told that the farmers have been sitting at the protest site in the bitter cold for 22 days. But our local public representatives Jalore MLA Jageshwar Garg, Ahor MLA Chhagansingh Rajpurohit have gone to Jaipur and Jalore-Sirohi MP Lumbaram Choudhary is meeting the Railway Minister and demanding rail. They cannot see the farmers sitting on the roads. He told that the Yagya was organized to bring wisdom to the government. So that the government gets wisdom and can fulfill the demands of the farmers.
