Jalore : MLA Chhagansingh Rajpurohit met State Agriculture Minister Kirodilal Meena in Jaipur on Friday and informed him through a letter about providing compensation to the farmers for the crop damaged due to Biparjoy storm and excessive rainfall in the year 2023. During this, MLA Rajpurohit told that last year the Kharif crop of farmers in Ahor assembly constituency was damaged due to Biparjoy and excessive rainfall of 2023. The farmers had deposited the entire premium amount to the insurance company under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and then after surveying the crop failure, preparing a ground report and sending it to the government and the company, the appropriate insurance amount was approved for the farmers.
In which the crop insurance company gave claim amount to some farmers as a formality but the rest of the farmers were deprived. Regarding this, the District Collector had ordered the crop insurance company to provide the claim amount in the accounts of the farmers soon. Even after that the insurance company has not given any kind of compensation amount. Regarding this, MLA Rajpurohit requested Agriculture Minister Meena to take cognizance of this matter and issue an order as soon as possible to provide the sanctioned crop claim amount to the farmers who suffered losses due to Biparjoy and excessive rainfall of last year 2023. So that the suffering farmers can get relief. On which Agriculture Minister Meena assured that very soon the crop insurance claim amount will be provided to the farmers deprived of compensation.
