Jalore : Raithal village nearby Jalore is not only deprived of basic facilities but also lacks means of transport. In this village, just 30 km away from the district headquarters, for the first time after independence, about ten years ago, a bus was operated directly, which brought relief to the villagers. But the bus service was stopped for the last five years. At present a private bus is operating via Raithal and this bus covers the distance of 30 km to Jalore in 3 hours. Due to which people are not getting any benefit from this service. Here, due to lack of resources, people have to make arrangements at their own level and reach the district headquarters for important work.
The journey starts at eight o’clock
At present this contracted bus reaches Raithal at 8 in the morning. This bus reaches Jalore from Bhanwarani via Raithal, Balwada, Vasan, Amloj, Bishangarh. After school education, people from nearby villages including Raithal have to come to the district headquarters mainly for college education. But even after this, students face a lot of problems due to lack of means of transport. Education is also affected due to lack of resources.
Once I got rural service
Local villager Premsingh Rajpurohit said that on the demand of the villagers, rural service was started here for the first time from Jalore depot about seven years ago. This bus used to reach Moksalar intersection from Jalore via many villages including Bishangarh, Raithal, after which it went to Balotra. From here, this bus used to reach Jalore via the same route in return and then went to Jalore and Shivganj. On its way back from here, this bus used to stay at Jalore. But after operating this bus for some time, it was stopped due to low income.
