Jalore: When will 16 dhanis facing water crisis be connected to Jal Jeevan Mission?

Jalore : under the government’s Jal Jeevan Mission project, the villagers got hope of getting relief from salty and fluoride laden water by providing water through door-to-door tap connections, but due to the negligence of the project officials, Bhinmal rural population of 9 thousand 918 16 Dhanis are still deprived of this project. In these dhanis, there are no taps in every house, no pipelines and no tap connections. When the villagers visited the project offices for tap connections, they found out that these 16 dhanis adjacent to Bhinmal town were not included in JJM. In such a situation, these villagers, who are facing severe drinking water crisis, will have to wait a long time to get their fill of fresh water. Villagers say that in most of the villages and dhanis, pipelines have been laid to supply tap water under JJM, apart from this, tap connections have also been made, but the dhanis of Bhinmal-Ruler are still deprived. Now when will the pipeline be laid in these basins and when will water come? No one is able to tell this. The villagers here have been forced to drink brackish and fluoridated water for years.

The problem was told in Ratri Chaupal, but the solution was not found – Dhaniyan of Bhinmal-B is included in Gram Panchayat Bhagalbhim. It is situated around Bhinmal city. This issue was also raised loudly in the night chaupal organized by the District Collector on June 11 in Bhagalbhim village, but even after that the problem has not been resolved yet. Villagers say that the only answer given by the project officials is that the scheme has been sent to Jaipuri for approval. Once approved, the pipeline will be laid and tap connections will be given.
