Saharanpur, 26 November (IANS). Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has approached the Supreme Court to stop an incident like Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. Maulana Arshad Madani said, “Due to the lack of implementation of the actual law for the safety of places of worship, incidents like Sambhal are being carried out in the country. It is very important to stop these incidents. Places of Worship Act-1991 Despite this, lower courts are issuing orders to survey Muslim places of worship, which is a violation of the law.”
He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind had filed a petition in the Supreme Court for the protection of the law protecting places of worship and its effective implementation, on which no hearing has been held for the last one year. The then CJI of the Supreme Court, DY Chandrachud, had given several times to the Modi government at the Center to file the affidavit, but the case could not be heard. Now after the Sambhal incident, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has appealed the matter in the Supreme Court and requested for hearing as soon as possible.
Maulana Arshad Madani strongly condemned the police firing in Sambhal and said that there is a long history of police brutality, whether it is Maliana or Hashimpura, Moradabad, Haldwani or Sambhal, the same face of the police is seen everywhere. The job of the police is to maintain law and order and protect people’s life and property. But, unfortunately, instead of advocating peace, the police treats minorities and especially Muslims like a party.
Apart from this, he said that it should be remembered that double standards of justice open the way to unrest and destruction. Therefore, the standard of law should be the same for all. No citizen should be discriminated against on the basis of religion. Neither the country’s constitution nor the law allows this.
Maulana said that Sambhal is a living picture of anarchy, injustice and cruelty, which not only the country but the people of the entire world are seeing with their own eyes. Now the matter has reached bullets. How he was shot in the chest without any provocation in Sambhal. Many videos have gone viral, but now under a big conspiracy the administration is trying to show that the people who were killed were not killed by the police but by someone else’s bullet. In such a situation, the big question is whether the police did not open fire while bullets were raining from the police guns, the entire truth is captured on camera.
He said that saving the police means that the police has changed its strategy to kill Muslim youth. For this they have started using illegal weapons. Not just a Sambhal, the way controversies are taking place in many places of the country regarding our places of worship and the way the local judiciary is taking irresponsible decisions in these matters, it is because of the Places of Religious Worship Act brought in 1991. Is a violation of.
He said that the verdict given by the Supreme Court on the Babri Masjid dispute is insulting. Using this decision, it was believed that no mosque was built in Ayodhya, which has been taken as a bitter sip by the Muslims, because, this decision will establish peace and order in the country. Whereas, after the decision the morale of communal forces has increased. Now even after this decision, temples are being searched in the foundations of mosques. This means that communal forces in the country are the enemy of peace and unity. The government is silent, but seems to be supporting such people behind the scenes, the latest proof of which is the Sambhal incident.
